The dollar index, which tracks the U.S. currency against six major rivals, fell 0.42 percent at 98.797 on Thursday after the U.S. House of Representatives narrowly approved a bill to repeal Obamacare, handing the healthcare legislation to the Senate. The euro rallied 0.94 percent to $1.0984 against the greenback after centrist Emmanuel Macron, in a Wednesday TV debate with anti-EU candidate Marine Le Pen, consolidated his position as the likely winner of France's presidency. Against the yen, the dollar was down 0.25 percent at 112.45. The euro is expected to meet resistance and support against the dollar at $1.2800 and $1.0700 respectively, while the dollar is expected to meet resistance and support against the yen at 113.70 and 110.00 respectively.
