The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major rivals, rose 0.29 percent at 101.25 on Tuesday as The Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said the central bank will likely need to raise interest rates at an upcoming meeting. The euro shed 0.19 percent at $1.0577 against the greenback, dented by political risks and disappointing economic data within the bloc. Against the yen, the dollar was up 0.46 percent at 114.25. The euro is expected to meet resistance and support against the dollar at $1.0650 and $1.0480 respectively, while the dollar is expected to meet resistance and support against the yen at 115.50 and 113.00 respectively.
